ABOUT OUR ATHLETIC CAMPS

All-Sports Camp

Camp A (Grades 1-4) - Camp B (Grades 5-8)

Building skills and confidence that lead to a lifetime of physical activity and wellness! You will improve your game, make lots of new friends, and have a blast doing it!  BAC provides a combination of both planned and optional activities to give kids exposure to a variety of sports and recreational activities, such as basketball, baseball, football, ultimate frisbee, hockey and pin-down dodgeball and many others! Our enthusiastic and experienced certified teachers guide this multi-sport camp to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to play sports they already enjoy as well as try new activities. Any skill level is welcome! Please bring a water and a snack. This camp will be at Bethpage High School.

 

 

Dance/Kickline

Camp A (Grades 3-5)

If you love to dance, this is the perfect summer program for you!  Come work with the Varsity Kickline dancers to learn different styles of dance including kick, pom and hip hop.  This is a program designed to learn the basics of dance and will be offered to anyone – no dance background is required!  Curriculum will include pom technique, introduction to kick, leaps, turns, stretching and flexibility.  Throughout the day we will be breaking into different groups and practicing different skills to keep things interesting and fun.  The day will also be filled with fun activities, games, and a short snack break.  We hope to see you there! 

 

 

Camp B (Grades 6-8)

If you love to dance, this is the perfect summer program for you!  Come work with the Varsity Kickline dancers to learn different styles of dance including kick, pom and hip hop.  This is a program designed to learn the proper dance technique and improve on your current dance talents.  Curriculum will include pom technique, introduction to kick and kick technique, leaps, turns, stretching and flexibility.  We will also teach mini-routines so that you can practice a variety of skills and work on memory and stamina. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, we will help you to better yourself as a dancer. We hope to see you there!

Little Eagles

(Grades K-2)

Girls and boys of all skill levels who are entering kindergarten through second grade will love this noncompetitive sports camp! A variety of sports and relay games with the emphasis on fun, group participation, being part of a team and being accepting of others’ abilities will be the focus during the week. The goal of BAC is to include teaching following the rules, teamwork and sportsmanship. Everyone will have a great time at this camp since we will play all the fun games kids love. Everyone is welcome and our main purpose is to have fun! Please bring water and snack.

Boys Basketball

(Grades 4-8)

If you love basketball and want to play it well, you need to be at BAC Camps. Improve your basketball skills, leadership, and confidence and take your game to a higher level. Whether you are a newcomer to the sport or already a middle school player, our camp is designed to help young basketball players develop athletically in a high energy environment. Campers will learn the fundamentals of shooting, passing and dribbling, along with the basic techniques of defense. This instructional camp will help each player improve his skills while integrating the principles of sportsmanship through competitive team play. Groups will be created based on age and ability.  Campers should be ready to play with t-shirts, shorts and sneakers. Please bring a water bottle and a small snack.

Track and Field/Cross Country

(Grades 3-8)

Do you have a passion for running? Do you want to be a track star? Then the Bethpage Athletic Camps are for you. No matter what your ability level is or what event you compete in, we coach events as short as the 55 meters and as long as the 5K. Whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned veteran, it does not matter! The focus is to improve your endurance, speed, technique, form, mental strength, and, of course, to have fun! Field events such as long jump will be taught as well! So come learn from the best that Long Island and Bethpage has to offer! Just make sure you have comfortable sneakers for running, an extra t-shirt, a snack, and plenty of water.

 

Boys Soccer 

(Grades 3-8)

The Bethpage Athletic Camp is a great place for any soccer enthusiast who is looking to improve their skills, work hard, make new friends and have fun! Our mission is to provide athletes with the tools to improve and to enjoy soccer for life! We offer a unique, dynamic soccer environment in which players master the mental, physical and technical skills of the game all while having fun! Our camp will emphasize the fundamentals of soccer: passing, shooting, dribbling, ball control, goalkeeping and teamwork. Our campers will participate in competitive drills and scrimmages essential to match play. Groups will be created based on age and ability.  Please bring water, snack, cleats, soccer ball and shin-guards.

Bethpage Athletic Lacrosse Camp offer outstanding coaching by motivated, energetic directors and staff whose sole mission is to take every step possible to stimulate your love for lacrosse in a positive and healthy environment. Our goal is to stimulate a love for the game by immersing you in the sport and giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential for your improvement. -At this camp you will continue to reinforce the fundamentals of the game such as throwing, catching, cradling and scooping while also incorporating strategy and team concepts.  These basic concepts and strategies will be incorporated into game situations.  You will have a great time and improve your game!  Please bring a water bottle and snack and a lacrosse stick!

Girls Lacrosse

Volleyball 

(Grades 7-12)

This camp is open to both boys and girls and we will totally immerse you in this great sport, giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential to improvement – no matter what your ability level. Your performance as an athlete will skyrocket, along with your self-confidence! Skill mastery, enthusiasm, intensity and life skills training make BAC Volleyball camps a perfect fit if you love the sport of volleyball.  We will emphasize the six basic fundamentals of volleyball: passing, setting, serving, spiking, digging and blocking. In addition, campers will learn the skills necessary for team play by participating in competitive drills in teams of three, four and eventually six players. Please bring a water bottle and a snack.

Tennis

(Grades 3-8)

Bethpage Athletic Camps provide both boys and girls tennis players, who are either beginning or at an intermediate level, that want the opportunity to improve their tennis game, work hard, make new friends and have a lot of fun. We want to help you take your game to the next level! You will learn strokes, volleying, and serving skills.  Basic concepts and strategies will be incorporated into match play. Please bring water, snack, and a racquet.  If you do not have a racquet we can provide one for you!

 

 

Hip Hop Week

Can’t get enough of America’s Best Dance Crew? Then the Hip Hop camp is the place to be. Come join college dancers to learn some hip-hop basics and styles – no dance background is required! Curriculum will include learning some essential hip-hop moves and technique, and high-energy routines in various hip-hop styles. The day will also be filled with fun games and activities and a short snack break. We hope to see you there!

Flag Football

Camp A (Grades 3-5)

Camp B (Grades 6-8)

Bethpage Athletic Camps' non-contact football camp is the place to be this summer if you love football. Our experienced Middle School and High School Football Staff will help you get better through outstanding fundamental football skills, instruction, speed and agility training. Instruction will be given in all football positions and will be appropriate level based on age and ability.  Campers will leave this camp with a true love for the game and a desire to be a part of our rich football tradition of excellence. No equipment is necessary but please bring a water bottle and snack.  

 

 

High School Girls Soccer

(Grades 9-12)

This camp will prepare you for the upcoming soccer season.  Whether you plan to play in a private league or tryout for the school team, this camp will have you prepared to be successful wherever you go.  All basic skills will be reinforced and you will also have the opportunity to learn advanced skills and strategies. Please bring water, cleats, soccer ball and shinguards.

 

High School Boys Soccer

(Grades 9-12)

High School Boys & Girls Volleyball

(Grades 9-12)

This camp will prepare you for the upcoming volleyball season.  Let’s get together this week to hone our skills get the season off to a great start.  Please bring you water and a small snack (fresh fruit, etc).

Tournament Week

Who doesn’t love field day?  Well, if you are one of the many that enjoy field day then you will love this camp because it is field day for four full days.  All campers will be assigned a color and will compete all week for the ultimate crown.  Come enjoy a fun week with the BAC!

 

 

Badminton Camp

(Grades 6-10)

Bethpage Athletic Camps provides the perfect opportunity for both boys and girls who are interested in the wonderful game of badminton to get a full week of practice to improve their game. Maybe you were introduced to it in gym class, or maybe you're thinking about trying out for the High School team. Either way this is the week for you as we strive to help you take your game to the next level! You will learn the basic skills, such as serving, smashing, and drops, as well as strategy. Please bring water, snack, and a racquet. If you do not have a racquet we can provide one for you!

Softball Camp

(Grades 3-8)

At our Softball Camp, every facet of the game is covered - pitching, hitting, fielding, base running, team play, and more. Our goal is that your performance as an overall player will improve, along with your self-confidence. We will give you the kind of focused, intensive training essential for improvement - no matter what your ability level. In addition to individual skill development, we will also feature competitive team scrimmages with lots of fun games in between. All skill levels are welcome. Please bring a water bottle, snack, glove, and helmet if possible. If you don't have a helmet we will provide a few for sharing.

Wrestling

(Grades 2-8)

The BAC Wrestling Camp is designed to help wrestlers become the best they can be and get them closer to achieving their wrestling goals. Wrestlers will participate in two great wrestling sessions per day. Campers will learn skills and strategies that will take their wrestling to the next level. Instruction is provided by the Bethpage Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School staffs. Students will be organized into age-level groups: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Please bring a water bottle and a small snack.
